A Rare Snow Day!

We rarely ever get snow days here in Georgia, so when the snow descended rather quickly yesterday morning I think everyone was surprised, including myself!  It started falling around 9:00am, we had an early dismissal from school at 11:00, and I finally made it to our house at 2:00pm!  The driving conditions were crazy, and I had to park about a mile away from our house and hike up our huge hill at the entrance of our neighborhood before I was safely at home with my babies.  I was very thankful that our house is very close to the main entrance yesterday... I saw some people I knew that lived about 2 miles back (with more steep and nasty hills) in the neighborhood trudging by our house in the 19 degree weather... I didn't envy them!  It only snowed about an inch or so, but everything quickly turned to ice... that's what made the roads so horrible.  We aren't used to that in Georgia, so nobody really knew what to do on their commute home.  It was a scary situation, and I was so relieved when all members of my family were safely tucked away at home!

When Andy finally made it home Cooper was dying to play in the snow.  We put them in the best winter gear we had available, and played outside for about half an hour.  This was Clark's first snow, and he wasn't impressed until he realized he could throw it and eat it!  It snowed several times the winter Cooper was born, but that doesn't count since he was so small!  He loved it... we even convinced him to drive his truck around in the yard!  We also had some improvised sledding (with the top of the boys' sandbox), and a snowball fight!  I tried to take as many pictures as my cold fingers would let me, and I'm hoping to get more today!

Welcome Baby Eden

This past Friday, one of my best friends had her little girl Eden Rebecca.  I had the honor and privilege of taking her hospital photos when she was about 11 hours old!  She was such a sweet little thing, and so beautiful!  Her hair was to die for!  Jessica, her mommy, looked fabulous as well... you would've never known she gave birth 100% naturally just a few hours before... incredible!  Here are some of the highlights from my time with this little beauty!
