Friday Favorites {4/27/18}

Happy Friday, friends!  It’s been a busy day, and I’m a little late on my post, so I’ll jump right in.  Here are my favorites for the week.

I had a little date with this sweet boy last Friday night.  Andy, Cooper, and Abel ran up to Andy's parents' to get Bear, so Clark and I went to my nephew's track meet, ate at Jack's, and come home for a bubble bath for one.  He loves one on one time, so I was so happy to be able to share that evening with him.

I had wedding pictures Saturday afternoon, but when I finished up I met Andy, the boys, and  my in-laws for dinner.  When we finished up, we took the boys to a huge playground in Chattanooga.  They ran around like crazy people and wore themselves out!

I finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone earlier this week, and I've moved on to the second book in the series.  I used to make fun of them, but I can't put them down now!  I was afraid I would be overwhelmed with how big/long the series is, but they are very good!

We got our sectional that we ordered a month ago this week, and it's huge!  We didn't remember it being so big in the store.  It just barely fits in the space we bought it for, but we love it!  It's so comfy, and it accommodates the five of us nicely.  The throw pillows came with it, and I'm still undecided about them.  The light gray ones are fine, but the polka dotted ones don't really match.  I haven't hung anything on the wall above it yet, but we're hanging my tobacco basket today.

Clark got a puzzle the other night at church, and he worked so hard on it!  He was so proud of himself when he finished (he had some help from Andy).

I had an old China cabinet that I used at our old house, but it just didn't look right in the new house... it didn't match anything.  I was going to sell it, but Andy graciously offered to refinish it for me, even though he hates doing stuff like this.  We got some chalk pain in light gray, and I think it's going to look great when he's done!

The sunsets from our backyard are just the best.  Our living room faces the back of the house instead of the front, so seeing these creep up through the window is just amazing.  Our back deck is the perfect viewing spot!

It's clay court season in the tennis world, and my man is on fire!  Even though he dominates on other surfaces, he's known as "The King of Clay."  The French Open is coming up at the end of May, and I can't wait to watch him play!  I'm so excited YouTube TV includes the Tennis Channel... I watch it more than anything else!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Friday Favorites {4/20/18}

Happy Friday, friends!  Y'all, I'm so ready for summer (hence the picture above).  We had a long, hard week of testing at school and we've got more next week.  We're burned out!  I know it's downhill from here, but I'm really looking forward to summer break.  We had a busy week at home too, so I'm just tired!  The house is slowly coming together, but we've still got a lot to do... I feel like it's going to be that way for the next few months.  Alright, here are my favorites for the week.

I went last Friday night and got Andy and some Sonic milkshakes after the boys went to bed.  I love Sonic so much... it's a problem!

Saturday morning we hit up Susan's, our favorite breakfast spot!

Cooper had some artwork displayed at the county exhibit last week, and we had so much fun going down to see it.  He was so proud of it, and we were so proud of him!  Art is his thing, so I foresee lots of exhibits in our future.

Here are a few of my most recent house purchases.  I feel like I'm getting new stuff all the time, so once our furniture is delivered, I'm going to do a post on everything we've bought so far.  This buffet is in my dining room.

I looked forever for a reasonably priced tobacco basket, and I finally found one at our local feed store in Flintstone.  They had a ton of home decor, so I got it and the cotton wreath pictured to go above my new couch.  I also go some more really cute stuff while I was there.

I found this at Home Goods for my entry way.  It's got decorations on it, so it looks better now.

This is my stairway/entry wall.  The people who owned the house before us had done a wall of pictures similar to this, and when they patched the holes up, you could see the touchups terribly.  Hanging things over the spots seemed like the easiest solution, so my mom and sister shopped today, bought some stuff, used some of my old stuff, and hung it all up!  I'm not a decorator and don't have patients for things like this, so I was thrilled they did it for me!

Tuesday night was Family Fun Night at Clark's school.  He was so excited that we were going to something there, and it was so sweet.  My parents came, so he had a big time!  All the boys had a blast!

I work at the best school ever!  I got this as a testing gift!  It made me very happy!  ðŸ˜‚

The boys love snuggling on our bed and watching TV, so when Andy was golfing last night, I couldn't refuse them!  They never sleep in our bed, but they'd be happy campers if I ever offered!

The view of the mountain and sunsets at our new house is hard to beat!

The little boys are loving the new bathtub!  Cooper prefers to shower by himself, so I bathe these two together most nights.  Abel is a terror in the tub because of splashing and pouring water out, but Clark is a little gentleman!

I started watching Splitting Up Together a few weeks ago when it first came on, and I'm really enjoying it.  It's about a married couple who's getting divorced, but they continue to live together for their kids.  It's only 30 minutes long, and it's not too serious, so it's right up my alley!  Don't get me wrong, I feel emotionally involved in their divorce, but it's pretty lighthearted.  I loved Jenna Fisher as Pam in The Office, so she's what got me started.  It's good if you're looking for something new!

Alright, have a good weekend!  Ours is pretty busy, but that seems to be the way life is these days.
