Saturday in the Park

Hello!  I hope everyone is having a good week so far!  This past Saturday it was gorgeous, and anytime it's warm enough we try to get the boys outside as much as possible.  Saturday afternoon we went to the Chickamauga Battlefield for a family bike ride.  Andy had been wanting to ride this mountain bike, and the boys' trailer doens't hook up to it, so I pulled them behind me.  Let me tell ya, 60 extra pounds makes a big differene!  The slightest hill about killed me!  It was a great workout though, and the boys had a lot of fun.  Here are some of my pictures from the fun!

Julia and Eden Photo Shoot

I had the honor and privilege of taking photos of Julia and Eden this weekend!  They were great girls, and make for an easy job!  There is a link at the bottom of this post to see all of their photos, but here are a few of my favorites... enjoy!

A Life Update

Between the snow, getting back to work, storms last night, and just trying to catch up on everything, I've been too busy or tired to write a post!  It was hard getting back into the swing of things this week, hard leaving the babies again, and hard waking up at 5:30am again.  Thankfully, it's Friday and we have a pretty low-key weekend planned!  Besides some pictures I'm taking tomorrow for a BFF and Andy golfing Sunday, our schedule is clear!

One exciting thing that happened this week is that we "nailed" down our 5 year anniversary plans!  Our anniversary is May 9th, and we knew we wanted to go out of town for it.  We had been looking into Helen, GA, and had decided to go there.  We are the king and queen of not making reservations for small/weekend trips until a couple of weeks before though, so that all changed when we found out our favorite band, NeedtoBreathe, is coming to Atlanta on May 31st!

**Side note on NeedtoBreathe: I discovered this band about a year ago (even though they've been around for awhile) when I started listening to J103 more. Andy kept giving me a hard time about the music I listened to with the boys, and said I needed to find "cleaner" things to listen to. "Typical" Christian music wasn't my thing (even though it has grown on me A LOT in the past year), but every time I heard this band I loved it. I still felt like I was listening to my rock/pop music that I loved, but it was clean, and had a wonderful message. The lead singer had the most distinct voice I had ever heard, so when I started hearing different songs by them, I knew I had to find out who they were. Well, after a little research I figured out their name, and ended up buying all of their more popular songs on iTunes. Andy wasn't a fan at first, but the more I listened to them the more he did. Back in the fall we broke down and bought all 4 records they have out, and have never looked back! Andy loves them now, and they're about all we listen to these days (I'm still faithful to The Fray, so don't worry). Not all of their songs would be considered Christian, even though most of them are, so they're also considered rock-n-roll.  They have a new CD coming out in April- the first two singles off of it are amazing!

When their tickets went on sale this week (we bought them before they were available to the public) we changed our plans for our anniversary.  Instead of going to Helen on our anniversary weekend, we're going to go to Atlanta at the end of May, and make a weekend out of it I'm so excited!  I'm going to be extremely busy with school around the time of our anniversary, so it worked out well.  Since Atlanta is so close, I never stay overnight when I go, so I'm really looking forward to exploring downtown, having time to enjoy it all, and spending some alone time with Andy!  He's never seen the joy and marvel that is IKEA, so I know that will be one of our stops that weekend!  This is also the first concert we've gone to, just the two of us, so I'm excited about that too!  They're playing at the Tabernacle, which is where I saw The Fray a couple of years ago, so I know it'll be a great show.

Sorry for the rambling, but I just had to share my excitement!  Have a good weekend!

More Snow Day Photos

Yesterday we probably had an inch or two of snow when we started playing.  By the time Andy and I went to bed (around midnight... thank you, Dexter!) we were up to 5.5 inches and the snow was still pouring!  I think when we woke up this morning, and before it started melting, we had close to 7 inches!  Yesterday we had the biggest snowflakes I've ever seen... it was absolutely beautiful.  Cooper could not wait to play outside this morning, so we layered on all the clothes before Andy had to head to work.  The only problem was that there was so much snow it was hard to play in.  Clark couldn't walk in it... the poor baby was trying to crawl everywhere as he screamed, and it was too deep to sled.  We put the boys in their wagon and pulled them up and down the road a bit before we called it a day.  Here are more photos from the boys' first BIG snow!
